SSGT Joseph D'Augustine Memorial Fund

This Memorial Fund is in memory of Staff Sergeant Joseph D’Augustine, a Combat Veteran who served his country selflessly and honorably in both the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars as a United States Marine. Staff Sergeant D’Augustine was a 2001 Waldwick High School graduate who was killed in action on March 27, 2012 while serving his second tour of duty in Afghanistan. Staff Sergeant D’Augustine was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor for heroic action in the Operation Enduring Freedom Campaign and The Purple Heart Medal for his injuries received that ultimately took his life while serving in that campaign. He was also awarded The Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

How We're Helping

Our donations to veterans is over $471,000 to date.

We would like to honor Joseph’s life by donating all the funds raised to several different Military Causes along with offering a scholarship to graduating senior high school students who exemplify the highest standards of citizenship through strong character and dedication to community service.

We also run our annual Secret Santa for Vets program which matches veterans with willing donors from our community. This program helps show all veterans we will never forget their service and we will forever be grateful.

Our biggest fundraiser is our annual golf outing held in August. We can not do it without all the amazing sponsors, tricky tray donors, volunteers, and of course the patrons.

The SSgt Joseph D'Augustine Memorial Fund is entirely volunteer run. No one in the organization collects salary. We pride ourselves on every donation directly benefiting our veterans.
