About the program
Secret Santa for Vets was created after speaking with many veterans that felt they were forgotten after returning home. They missed the beautiful care packages and letters they were sent while deployed. As most know, many veterans have become a statistic. 22 veterans commit suicide per day and the number is rising. We hope that Secret Santa for Vets will help the receiving veterans realize they will never be forgotten. It is a part of our fight against PTS and veteran suicide.
Secret Santa for Vets is for ALL veterans. We send packages to all branches and status. It is completely free to nominate the veterans in your life.
Important information
Personal addresses are NOT released to the donors. The Secret Santa donors will receive your veterans first name and state residence along with the gift ideas you list. All packages get shipped out by the SSgt Joseph D'Augustine Memorial Fund.
Please be sure to include the veterans DOD number or some form of verification.

Important information
To secure our veterans privacy, all packages are mailed to us first. We then ship the package to the receiving veteran.
Please use a flat rate box from the United States Post Office or a box in similar size. Larger boxes are only to be used for family donors.

Operation Color
Want to get the kids involved? Our Holiday Mail for Heroes and Operation color programs are perfect for ALL ages.
During the holiday season we accept handmade cards to include in our Secret Santa for Vets packages. Our Secret Santa for Vets program matches veterans with willing donors from the community to recreate the care package! There is no better way to bring cheer to our vets than to include bright, thoughtful cards from kids.
Operation Color is a year round program. We accept patriotic thank you cards and coloring pages which we send to veterans in nursing homes, hospitals, and through our birthday mail program.
Please include the child's FIRST name and age on all cards.
